mindykaling Sending a little extra love today to all of the moms, and to anyone who may be missing theirs right now. It’s nice how through my daughter, I am able to experience memories with my own mom. If you have a favorite memory about your mom or mother figure, I’d love to hear! #MothersDay

mindykaling Meet @anuvalia, one of our very talented directors on @neverhaveiever. @loulielang and I were so excited to have her on board and as you can see from the pictures, the cast loved her too. So cool to have a voice like Anu’s on this show. Fun Fact: Anu is also the name of my cousin and so I think I was over-familiar with her because of it! (At least I thought it was a fun fact and told everyone in the cast and crew like a million times). #femalefilmmakerfriday

mindykaling We know your name. #Ahmaudarbery You were only 25 years old. The grief your family must be feeling and the anger at the lack of accountability must be overwhelming. If you were my son I wouldn’t know how to keep going. So let’s help.

mindykaling For years before I was lucky enough to be invited to the Met Gala, I would visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art like thousands of people every year to see the Costume Institute exhibit. Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty was a particular favorite. The fashion nerd in me was glued to the online photos from the gala itself, studying the costumes that people wore and right-clicking my favorites (@badgalriri’s @dolcegabbana suit from 2009 - look it up, it’s worth it). When I finally attended, I got to see firsthand, the dozens of artists involved making ONE gown, and the hundreds more responsible for the Costume Institute’s exhibit itself. I marveled at how stylists, hair stylists, makeup artists would fly in from Paris, London and LA just to get people ready. It is the most important day in the fashion and beauty industries and everyone is prepared. I am obsessed with hard work, I love seeing it in other people, and when I saw just how many people it takes to make this effortless, glamorous event take flight, I loved it even more. If you can, catch “The First Monday In May” documentary that shows the process from Anna Wintour’s point of view (it’s on @Amazon!). I wish I was able to go this year, but of course, I cannot. So I’m just here looking at old #MetGala pics like I used to, and it’s still pretty damn fun. Happy First Monday in May.

mindykaling Obviously I wish I could see my friends and colleagues on set, but let’s face it, what I miss most is craft service.
