brookslaich Watching the current events of the world is weighing heavy on my heart. Man’s inhumanity to man is making it ache.
I am vehemently opposed to racism of ANY form. And though I will never fully understand what a black man, woman, or child may go through, I do not need to in order to say that I stand with you.
I stand for equality. I stand for respect. I stand for unity. I stand for love.
I will continue to listen to you, to support the peaceful protest for reform, and to stand with you to see it through.
I am educating myself on ways to get more involved, and make a positive impact. If any members of my community have ways to do so, please share them with me.
I leave you with one final thought - “wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness” - Seneca.
Black lives matter, and I stand with you.

brookslaich THIRST TRAP!
I just heard that term a few weeks ago, and our @howmenthinkpodcast producer @torrbelle challenged me do my best “thirst trap” photo for this weeks episode!
So here’s 3 ridiculous shots for you to choose from 🤦♂️. Tell me which one is your favorite (photo 1, 2, or 3) and what the “thirst trap” caption should be.
Just completely over the top and ridiculous, but who gives a damn! Best part was watching @hebercannon die laughing behind the lens.
So here you go internet, feast your eyes on this senseless carousel!
And make sure you check out today’s episode of @howmenthinkpodcast as we have 2 thirst trap veterans in @_paige.renee and @harryjowsey on the show, and they give you the do’s and don’ts of “thirst trapping”! By far our funniest episode yet, we had a blast goofing off for an hour! Click the link in my bio to tune in! 🤣😎💦🤦♂️
brookslaich The Memorial Day tradition in the CrossFit world is to do a workout called “Murph” to honor Lt. Michael Murphy and all service women and men who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of their country.
Today I did the following workout with this awesome crew in honor of those women and men:
1 Mile Run
300 Air Squats
1 Mile Run
#beatBrooks = 39:10
I did the workout with a 20# @511tactical weight vest on, and partitioned the reps in 10 sets of 10 Pull-ups + 20 Push-ups + 30 Air Squats.
The faces after finishing it say it all. It’s a tough workout, and we were all glad to be done it.
Endless thanks, love, and respect for all service women and men - the past, the present, and the future. This one was for you! 🙏 #memorialday

brookslaich Happy Mother’s Day to my kind, supportive, loving, and mountain climbing mom @janelaich!
So much of who I am stems from her. When she sets her mind to it, there is simply no mountain she can’t climb. A beautiful example for myself and my siblings, thanks for being you mom - I love you! #KilimanjaroJane #bestmomever
brookslaich Not every minute of an adventure has to be all about action. There’s something super enjoyable and fulfilling about taking a few calm moments to just chill, be present, and fully absorb the fact that you are out on an adventure.
These are some of my favorite moments. In then, I’m usually overwhelmed by gratitude for many things. The absolute beauty of nature, the appreciate of a close friend, and the blessing of being able to create the life that I desire - amongst many others.
What are some of the things you breath life into you when on an adventure? I would love to hear them, share them with me if you would! 🙌

brookslaich One of my goals on every adventure I take is trying to walk where no man has walked before, I’m obsessed with it.
It means that I’m the first person to ever set foot there, and to me that just feels so cool! Now, I admit that there’s no way of knowing that for certain, but it doesn’t make it any less appealing for me.
There’s almost 8 billion people on earth now, and who knows how many before our time. So to put my feet on ground that has never been touched by man means that I have to cross some serious obstacles to even have a chance. I go to remote places, then go to the seemingly impossible spot, and I at least feel like it’s possible that no one has ever set foot there before.
Like this spot where I took this photo from. You couldn’t walk to here, you either have to climb up here or take a helicopter and land here.
Fairly certain no one has ever been here before, and that just makes this view so much better. Also makes it an outstanding place to enjoy my breakfast... 👌😎
brookslaich It is with the heaviest heart that I share with you the passing of our beloved dogs Lexi and Harley.
Their tragic passing has left my wife and I heartbroken. Lexi and Harley were not just pets to us, they were our children, and we loved them as such.
They were the purest example of love that I have ever seen. They showed me that true love did exist in the world. The way they loved their mom @juleshough and the way she loved them back was the first time I knew that there was hope for me to have love in my life. And they accepted me into their little family, and helped me become a dad for the first time.
The past 2 weeks have been filled with tears of sorrow, and tears of joy. The immense pain we feel by their loss is due to the overwhelming love we had for them. Every single beautiful part of them will be missed, but we trust that they are in a better place now, and can still feel their presence in our hearts.
I want to thank the many people who have helped see us through the past 2 weeks. The outpouring of love and support we have received from our family and friends has helped heal our hearts. I am eternally grateful for everyone who has held space for my wife and I to grieve and mourn. There are too many names to list, but you all know who you are, and know that we couldn’t have made it through this without each and everyone of you. In the most sincere way possible, thank you very much.
Thank you to @kristysowin, @derekhough, and @camilaforeroo for going above and beyond what we could ever imagine asking of you. There simply are no words to express our gratitude, we love you deeply and are so grateful for you.
Thank you to my wife for allowing me to share in their world, and trusting me to be their dad. I wasn’t perfect, but I loved them with every ounce of my heart.
And thank you Lexi and Harley, for teaching me grace, softening my heart, and showing me love. You are perfect, and may you Rest In Peace. ❤️🐶🐼🐺💑❤️
brookslaich Myself, my wife @juleshough, and our good friend/adopted daughter @nina love to travel and adventure together. And wherever we go, we love taking cool ‘family’ photos....
We just found out there’s this other family called @thebucketlistfamily that’s basically been copying us. There’s 2 ways to look at this:
1) we should feel honored that a family out there likes us that much that they want to duplicate everything we do, or....
2) we should tell them to back off, stop being copy-cats, and get your own lives...
What do you guys think? Should we embrace this @thebucketlistfamily - or tell them to take a hike..... 🗑🗒👨👩👧👦😂
brookslaich My wife absolutely loves holidays, and I love that about her. She makes them a special time, not just for me, but for many of our friends. This smile is for you babe, for turning holidays like today into special memories!
Happy Easter everyone! 🙌🙏
brookslaich Today my wife and I spent some time creating our adventure schedule for 2019! We are fortunate to have some incredible adventures already lined up, but are always on the lookout for more - and for people to travel with!
